AI Events for Women Entrepreneurs This Fall: Where to Learn, Build, and Meet Erika

listen wherever you get your podcasts:

This week's episode came to you from Austin, Texas, recorded in the week between the two weekends of Austin City Limits. I'm here for a client project, helping a team bring AI into their business, and I'll tell you more about that in an upcoming episode.

Being in a city this full of music and art feeds the creative side of my soul. It also got me thinking about the rooms we choose to be in.

Entrepreneurship can feel like an island. You're out there making every decision, solving every problem, and teaching yourself every new tool. AI makes that feeling louder. There's a new release every week and a fresh wave of hot takes, and most of us are trying to sort it out between client calls.

The best antidote I've found is people. People doing the same thing you are, and people a few steps ahead. Being in rooms with a bunch of badasses changes what you believe is possible for you.

Here's how that plays out. You watch someone a few steps ahead build a thing you assumed was out of reach, and suddenly it's on your list too.

The first room that changed things

My first all-women's conference was Alt Summit in Palm Springs. It changed my entire outlook on women's events. If you're a woman and you've never been to a conference full of other women, it is really damn special.

Then I went to the She Leads AI CREATE Conference in Salt Lake City. It was the first time I'd been in a room where every woman was the AI person for her colleagues, her friends, and her family. Every single one of them was an AI expert, whether or not she was on stage.

The conversations in that room went deep. Ethics. Governance. What work will look like as we keep growing and building. And why women's voices need to be at the table.

That last one is the whole point. The future of work is being designed right now, and women belong in the design meeting.

This year I go back as a presenter.

Renting tools you could build

At the Her AI Era Summit, I'm teaching in the operations track on something I talk about here a lot: cutting the software subscriptions you've outgrown, or that never fit, because now you can build the thing yourself.

The tools have come far enough. If you're paying for software that isn't quite right, or that costs too much for the slice of features you use, building your own is a real option. For women running lean businesses, that shift matters. Every subscription you replace puts money and control back in your hands.

Custom software used to belong to companies with developers on payroll. Now it belongs to anyone curious enough to try.

Where I'll be this fall

  • Her AI Era Summit, October 12 to 16: virtual, free, 35+ women AI experts. The VIP upgrade includes my mini blueprint, normally $99, free.

  • She Leads AI CREATE Conference, October 16 to 18, Salt Lake City: presenting, plus an AI Queens podcast booth recording with speakers and attendees.

  • Women's Leadership Conference, November 19, Hickory, NC: at Dr. Loran Jarrett's speaker table answering AI questions, with about 800 women in the room.

  • The final AI Queens Buildathon of 2026, November or December: free, virtual, and we're building a custom holiday app together. Waitlist at aiqueens.com/build.

If you can't come

Find a group anyway. Somewhere you can build, chat, and collaborate with other women who are curious about this stuff. The best way I've found to learn AI is being around people who are learning, doing, and building, and being curious enough to build something yourself.

That group doesn't have to be fancy. A few women on a monthly call, sharing what they tried and what broke, is enough to keep you building.

Pick one room this season and walk in.

Key takeaways

  • Learning AI alone is the slow road. Peers and people a few steps ahead speed everything up.

  • Rooms full of women who are "the AI person" create a different kind of conversation, about ethics, governance, and the future of work.

  • If a subscription costs more than the value you get from it, AI tools make it realistic to build your own.

  • Weekend conferences like CREATE let you learn without stepping away from client work.

  • Can't travel? Join the free Buildathon waitlist at aiqueens.com/build, or start your own build group.

Keep building and keep reigning with AI.
